Millions of people around the globe will read your exquisite poem in the New Yorker with a coffee or a cocktail and with their very own version of american sadness and be transported to a memory of Paris and being alive and yearning. Beautiful and shimmering poem, AD.

This is beautiful! I like this sense of 'American sadness' - it's very alive and kind of new. We don't talk about this flip side of the 'America - the land of milk and honey'
