My favorite thing about this post is that it brought out the Londoners. I’m there almost every summer on my way to Paris. You guys should keep in touch.

Thank God for your originality, AD. Albee would have liked your play given the storyline of Sylvia, or the Goat. Allan Hollinghurst’s Swimming Pool Library is a book to be read slowly. Now I have to reread that; thank you! I think that’s where I first read the expression “poodlefaker”. Any chance you’d let your subscribers read your play? A lottery perhaps to keep it interesting?! That’s my new year wish to read your play.

Your memories sit like sequins in oak - sometimes you describe something so solidly then other times they are discs of flimsy sparkle. Together they are wonderful.
